My life is heading in a new, minimalist direction. In a world full of stuff everywhere, I have decided to de-clutter my physical things, my virtual things, and my life. Over the next few months, many of you will notice my presence on social media declining and my wardrobe slowly changing. If you visit my home, you'll notice that there will be a lot less stuff lying around as I slowly reach my goal of becoming a minimalist. As far as my life goes, I will also be cutting out unimportant activities, which may offend a few people. I assure you, this is for my own good and especially for improving my mental and physical health. No, this is not me becoming a "new person". It's me finally following through on commitments to myself that I really haven't been paying much attention to. This will be a long process, but I hope many of you follow me on this journey.
With my sisters I am best. This phrase pretty much sums up how I feel about my friendships in college thus far. Last spring, I became a member of Tau Beta Sigma, the national honorary band sorority. Alongside some of my closest friends, I have been able to serve the band program at Bowling Green State University in ways I never thought possible. Together with my sisters I've been able to put together successful concerts and recitals, and have been able to serve others in a selfless manner. However, my workload is ever-increasing as a business student, so I have made the decision to transition to inactive status in the sorority.
